hi (i hope i dont do anything wrong now)
ok so i have a router, and in beggining no one could join me, (forget nearly ewerything in cs2d) now after some experimenting i nearly succeded in portforward

people that have my ip can join my server, and i can now se it in lan list, but both me and my friends cant find it in server list

im having a TG787

picture over current cs2d port forward setting:

any suggestion what to change, cause im not really sure bout trigger port and all those stuff, i just made like that http://portforward.com/ said (read from FAQ on cs2d page)

I see a firewall menu on the left. maybe you have to add an exception there for udp 36963. I can't provide more help because I have another router with other menus.

same now, but still only people whit my ip can join....

people can enter by ip, but the server is not in serverlist

hm its weird, ok so now when port is open, i se my server in lan list, and can join, i can also join myelf by my ip, i cannot se my server in online serverlist

my friends can join by ip but cant find in server list

anyone agree that it sounds like a lan server
sv_lan 0 doesent work
eithere does usgn_addserver thing...

anyone got any idea?
the main question is why isnt the server in server list

everyone i just discovered a intresting thing
i hosted my server and entered
i entered http://www.usgn.de/servers.php
and searched for my ip

i found my external ip (opposite to lan ip if im correct?)
it said:

:54331

at end, why this port, in server setting it says 36963 same in console, any ideas on how to change this?

edit:

also when using command "copyadress" i get
Server_magnus 0.0.0.0:36963

everyone i fixed IT!!!
ok heres how i did:

first i hosted on 36963
second i entered http://www.usgn.de/servers.php
i searched for my ip (http://www.ip-adress.com/)
using ctrl - f
i copyed the port and in port forward i made it translate from it to 36963,

finally i can enjoy hosting at cs2d

scenario:
× server DOES NOT appear (with name and details) in the in-game list (for other players)
√ server ip DOES appear at http://www.cs2d.com/servers
√ server can be joined with "connect by ip" (by other players)

this scenario is (probably) ALWAYS a sign for wrong router (especially NAT) settings!

why?

because CS2D has a technique called "NAT hole punching" which tries to "trick" the NAT of the router by using the USGN masterserver as some kind of mediator. this technique enables others to join the server even if the router is not configured correctly. it is only used when joining by IP so it doesn't help in the serverlist (this has some reasons so please don't ask me to add it to the serverlist as well). also this technique only works for some router models.

alot of work evertime....

are you sure that it doesn't work with 36963? it normally should be reachable under the port you entered in the game settings (36963 by default) as well. even though it shows another port in some cases. (I don't know why this happens, the network library does it that way for some reason...)

This sounds like you hav a dynamic IP, contact your ISP to check whether this is correct, and if it is ( and you really want to start hosting games/other things ) then ask them to change you to a static IP, if they can they most probably will, however sometimes they may charge you

still weird cause in my server it says im using 36963 but in server list it says SAME, onlly at cs2d online serverlist page i se correct port

edit: yeah it doesent work on 36963, the server just goes to anothere port....

Turn the NAT hole punching off, it fucks up the server. I don't know why DC added this shit, but almost every server turns off NAT hole punching, it's screwed.
