Well steam are making nonsteam games avalable trough steam if they get enough ratings. Wouldn't it be good if cs2d becomes avalable trough steam? There are many people that search for free 2 play games trough steam so i think it might get more people to play cs2d, if it gets available ofcourse. What do you think is this a good idea?

That's a bad idea, because the weapon sounds are from counter strike and the problem is that dc didn't have the permission. He asked Valve but they didn't answer him so i think it would be a bad idea to publish cs2d on steam greenlight because counterstrike was made by valve the creators of Steam

Of course it's bad idea. I don't want to install my cs2d in some unknown(hard to find) location.

Of course, if it was available through steam, it would've been optional. So user buraxia3 s problem wouldn't exist. Additionally, the location where steam installs its games to is not unknown or hard to find. Steam places the folders in a very structured way.

The problem is, CS2D can't really get into greenlight because of what user kevin00756 said. CarnageContest would be a better option.

Sure it will. More people will see it. One of the best adv. is Steam, with damn huge ammount of players.

@user ohaz: Would be great idea. Unless the Valve co. are a bunch of assholes DC should be fine. In fact, DC could even ask them if he is allowed to put it on Greenlight to give them a heads-up.

Valve is not very responsive. I already asked a shitload of months ago but it seems to be common for them that they don't answer at all.

I'm planning to put Carnage Contest on Greenlight though.

Steam seems not to put Indie games to Free to play...
Only some mmorpg's (mostly) that were not free and got later...
I actually think DC can't put it on steam...
And the only indie game that i see in F2P is Realm of the Mad God or whatever...
Imagine how much indie games it were if steam acepted all...
Seeing CC in Steam would be an very good thing though...

Fellas, I saw a game called Project Zomboid, tried it out and it was damn good. Always love survival games, especially during the zombie apocalypse. I recommend you guys to try it out. Its a retro style game, so graphic whores are out.

Yeah, make CC available on Steam, but you gotta focus on its development.

Yep, Carnage Contest would be the best choice for Greenlight, although I haven't played in a while. (just tryed it out, it really improved) But the main problem is still the same, to get a steady players base, but at least you got some missions now Also the upcoming Stranded III would fit perfect, as I'm pretty sure it will exceed my expectations.
